The newest venture from acclaimed restaurateur Gaurav Anand, aRoqa is a chic modern Indian restaurant and cocktail bar in Chelsea. Gaurav is well known for Moti Mahal Delux and Awadh but aRoqa is a bold new direction – taking Indian cooking techniques and adding global influences for a unique new style of cooking. Unexpected ingredients pop up everywhere on the menu – avocado, kale, tomatillos, bacon, goat cheese and more.

The mixology program was developed by a star in the making – Stephen Thomas, a trained engineer turned sommelier and bartender previously of il Buco Alimentari. Stephen’s drinks achieve balance between spirits, fresh juices, herbs, spices, housemade syrups, infusions and tinctures, along with uncommon ingredients such as olive oil, balsamic vinegar, vegetables like swiss chard, spices from saffron to peppercorns, wine reductions and more.
